The Christ Centered Home: Children

Not only does Paul exhort children to obey and honor their parents, but he encourages them with several motivations, as it glorifies God, it is righteous, and it comes along with the promise of God blessing obedience. Ultimately, children must be born again, as the new heart provides the very power through which they are enabled to obey unto the glory of God.

Ephesians 6:1-3 “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother’(this is the first commandment with a promise), ‘that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.’”
